I wipe what I can with a napkin or cloth over my finger. My uncle is an ENT specialist and he does not approve of qtips for adults, so I won’t use them on children either.

I would not use q tips at all like @flamingomom said. My ENT says you should never use anything in the ears. I use my finger in a washcloth to clean out my son’s ears during bath time.

Well I'm the bad mom who uses q tips on her child's ears. Not inside them but around the outside . I use the baby q tips not adult ones. My son's ears arnt really bad though so it's not often I do it. Your doctor can recommend something. I've never had a doctor clean my son's ears out . I use tissue for my ears. Q tips bother the inside of my ears but I get the edges like I do my son's. Sometimes I'll use a rag and clean the inside with my finger if I see anything.
