What is everyone’s opinion on the epidural I’m so scared to get it
If someone told me I wouldn’t be able to have an epidural before I got pregnant, I honestly don’t think I would do it lol.
I’m such a baby with pain.
😂😅
I thought I could do it without the epidural, but contractions were just too much. After all is the best decision to make if you can't deal with the pain.
Everything felt so much better after I got it
it didnt hurt me but tbh it didnt affect me i felt the whole labor and contractions not sure because my body was intense i wasnt relaxed at all
Best thing ever. Had it both times. Zero issues. I got it at 6 cm. It allowed me to nap before I met my babies. After 14 hours of active labor + 12 hours of prodromal labor with my daughter my body was exhausted so I really needed that nap before pushing.
i loved it and wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤷🏼♀️ no regrets here.
agreed! If i have another baby, I'm getting one again if I can 🤣
@swedishmomma, i’m done having kids, but if i had more i’d get it every single time. i have a terrible pain tolerance.

@aanyssa.nichols1998, honestly I was in so much pain that the needle felt like nothing and I didn’t even notice it go in.
@day1401, that makes me feel a little better lol and less terrified
@aanyssa.nichols1998, if you feel you need it because the pain is too much, just remember that a small pinch and then it goes away and honestly you’ll be able to have a nap and everything goes so much smoother.
I got one. My contractions we're no joke and I'm a wimp when it comes to pain.
I got it and it was so horrible getting it but it helped. I saying getting epidural was more painful than pushing out a baby
I think if you want/need 1 get it. I’ve had 1 and had 3 births without. If you’re suffering then get it. If you know you can power through try to hold out.
I think that’s what I’m gonna do I’m going to see if I can hold out before I actually get it
I got it. Don't regret it at all!!! I had some damn intense back labor to the point I could barely sit still when they gave it to me. I was already 8cm dilated and had a bulging water bag when I first showed up to L&D, I have a high pain threshold but glad I got it.
@aanyssa.nichols1998 trust me, through the contractions you won't even feel the damn needle. I'm scared of them too, but contractions are a whole other level, its nothing at all compared to them. I didn't even feel it. They surface numb you before they even put it in. The contractions are far worse.
@swedishmomma, ok I’m feeling a little better about getting it lol
I declined both times. I'm terrified of them after hearing stories and the epidural messed my cousins back up.
@aanyssa.nichols1998, It honestly wasn't bad! What hurt the most is when the head came out but as soon as baby was out completely the pain went away!
It was painful but it was great
