Anyone have experience with a convertible car seat like this? It turns into a stroller in seconds. It's on sale right now. 4-35 lbs, rear facing only, 5point harness, 3 layer side impact protection, TUV and FAA aircraft approved, 2 year warranty. Also removable fabric cover that's washer and dryer safe. 5 star review but only 51 reviewers. Brand is Doona. Comes with an infant insert, head support that's memory foam, the base and a seat protector. (3 pics)

@cmjohnson3047 nope! It's rather expensive otherwise at 240 though. My man's being wishy washy about and I'm hoping it's still on sale next paycheck.

The concept is cool but babies grow so fast and you won't really use it long then you have to buy another carseat/booster seat and stroller
That site is def a scam those car seats are not cheap and no matter how good the sale it would never be $89.

i see these a lot at the hospital, and it's always a father and he's always cussing at it lol. from watching people deal with them, they look difficult and they say it's not as convenient as people make it out to be
I met a woman today with one of these in the airport. I asked her about it because I've always been curious. She said it's paid for itself many times over. She couldn't stress how amazingly convenient it was and how it was worth it! I'm definitely considering one. You can always resell when you're done with it.
I have a hard time believing it would be on sale for $89 when it's usually 500. I mean it looks cool and would be handy but would not last much more than a year if that. Babies have to have one inch of carseat above their head even if they are within the weight and height limits. So I wouldn't pay full price for sure. Also while looking at carseats no one is more safe than the other, they all pass the same crash testing. As long as they are properly installed and baby is in correct it is safe!
It’s an infant car seat not convertible, so you would probably end up buying a separate stroller anyway for afterwards.
Which site is this on sale from? These are regular 500$. So $89 doesn’t seem too accurate.
Personally i think it wouldn’t be too useful for long , it’s a good idea but when the baby outgrows the carrier you’re still gonna wanna use a stroller so then you have to buy both anyways

The concept is really cool but I wonder how heavy the carrier is with the added stroller mechanisms in it. There are times that you wouldn’t want to put the stroller down (from the car to the house or stairs) It may get heavy once the baby is 6 months to a year old. We always switch to a convertible car seat once I can’t carry the baby carrier anymore.
It weighs about 16 lbs. but with a 2 year old with me I'd likely have the wheels down as often as humanly possible. I also rarely go out except to Drs appointments without my man so it's not a huge concern.
I saw this lady not too long ago at Kroger and she had this convertible seat. And it looked a bit small tbh. It was a little too low if I was to get it. But it looked pretty easy to use .
Some people swear it’s the best thing in the world lol I think it depends if you like separate stroller and car seats like me
