Hey everyone, this is embarrassing but I’m so worried.. I have periodontal disease which is the last stage of gum disease now Iv done a lot of reading up and it says I’m at risk of pre term birth, late miscarriage ect but it doesn’t say how much of a risk so like low risk high risk ect was wondering if anyone knew? Am I already a risk with being over weight and I’m so paranoid about loosing my gummy (baby), I’m 10 weeks today but had a chemical Miscarriage last May xx

I know I mean with my daughters I was so relaxed but I guess that was because google wasn’t around then lol, yeah true didn’t think of it that way Thankyou 😊 xx

Hiya, Thankyou, I have a root and scale planning (deep gum clean) at the dentist but haven’t been done since end of October and next appt isn’t until March, I mean realistically there’s not much I can do sometimes I really hate googling stuff lol I spoke to my midwife about it and she didn’t know much so hoping when I have appt with constultant she may know xx

Aw yeah im the same I do Google things when i shouldnt. Maybe the lack of information about it from your midwife is a good thing because maybe it isnt as bad as googles making out. Once youve been to the dentist youll feel a lot better just keep looking after them and thats all you can do really. Try not to stress as thatll make everything worse. Things are still going good, focus on that 🙂 xx

Aw hi hun. I didnt want to read and run so thought id write a comment. I dont know anything about periodontal disease, are you on any treatment now? Im thinking if you manage and treat it then hopefully you shouldnt be at risk of those things but im not sure x
