Had a 32 week growth scan yesterday. The doctor said I have “too much fluid, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing” ... apparently I don’t have any of the qualifying factors for a “bad” too much fluid (signs of pre eclampsia or diabetes) but she said I could expect to go anytime between 34-37 weeks. But also didn’t seem concerned that I could be 6 weeks early? I’ve been left mildly confused. First of all. I am not ready!! 😅

Anyone have ideas or been through anything similar?

I had too little fluid and they said the exact same thing. I had to be induced at 37 weeks because of Intrauterine growth restriction but they'd talked about it since 34 weeks. Found out later that my fluid levels were normal for the gestation my son was measuring lol. But if it's not a bad thing and they keep an eye on it I wouldn't worry too much.

OK guys probably tmi but I need to know. fiance & I had sex after I got up there was an unusual amount of fluid that was really warm, he was like uhh I think your water broke, that's how much it was.. the floor was all wet and he said he as many times as I've leaked on him in the 4 years we have been together it never felt like that or was that warm, no contractions , no pains. could it have been my water?

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
