So we've started and stopped potty training with Mauriz so many times because he always wants to go back to diapers.. His therapists say it may be a comfort thing due to his autism, it sounds weird but makes sense I guess.. But he's going to start school in august so I'm going to try my best to have him potty trained by then so starting today we're going to try strictly underwear all throughout the day and only diapers at night... Wish me luck cause this has been such a struggle for us!!

have you tried putting a cheerio in the toilet and have him aim at it to pee? It sounds weird lol but that worked with Xavier.

He won't stand to pee, he gets really off balance for some reason 🤔

even if he is sitting down, make it like a game for him. Hopefully it goes smoothly.

@denisse.m thanks I'll try it! It gets rough with all 3 of them in diapers lol but I want him potty trained mostly so he can get in school

Good luck! Do you do any rewards? I would give my kids a few skittles or little candies every time they went at first and that encouraged them a lot. It's a messy thing but you just have to let them have accidents so they can learn and not give up!

Yeah we do that but it doesn't really encourage him to go either 🤦🏻

I have a cousin who is delayed. He is 5 will be 6 in may. He wasn't getting oxygen to his brain while in the womb. The doctors didn't know till after he was born so don't know for how long he wasn't getting oxygen. Anyway he barely started saying worlds around 4 or 5 and would use sign language to communicate. Hes still in pull ups.

oh okay thats good. Did you Try a potty in the living room. So at any time he can go or sometimes kids wanna just sit on it.
