Honestly I’d wait til he’s ready. That’s what I did with my son and it’s been a breeze
I’ve done a little bit of research myself and I’ve come across people saying buy Cheerios and tell them to aim to the toilet, have books near and put them backwards so they don’t fall in, also give them a little privacy if they ask for it (so they can feel like they’re older). Every time he goes to the potty give him rewards so he can know that his doing a really good thing (buy toys in dollar tree so they’re not that expensive).
Check out this group on Facebook. They are awesome. My son was fully trained by 2 with their help. I've also heard tons of recommendations for the oh crap potty training book.
