yes and no. Yes because I diy’d most of my stuff and no because I didn’t have to worry about someone decorating something and me not liking it. I got to pick and plan it just how I wanted to. And I started getting things ready about a month in advance. I’m a procrastinator that always likes to wait till the last minute. Lol.
Stressful af for me because my "friends" aren't reliable and family is across the country.
I planned everything months in advance but didn't start the ball rolling until a month before to ensure I got where I planned it for. Buying stuff was 2 weeks before and food was day of if snacks and 2 days before if needed to cook.
I planned what I wanted like told theme the theme and picture of how I wanted the cake. But everyone showed up last minute when I thought no one was coming. It was still small I could’ve done without it but
I planned mine almost by myself. My husband helped decorate but I really put it all together myself. I started planning like 3-4 months ahead so it didn’t stress me too too bad. Once it was over, it was worth it because I did get gifts and things that I truly needed and had no idea.
