Me and my husband signed up for a gym membership together...has free childcare while you work out..anyways...we got into a heated argument...I went off my antidepressants cuz I thought I was doing good well...I’m just in a dark place right now...I don’t want to get out of bed...I told him to just take the fun stuff with him to work I don’t want to go...and he got upset saying we spent this money and I’m going...I don’t know how to explain it to him how I feel...that I don’t even want to get out of bed and I just want to sleep all day and that our past few arguments have put me in a horrible place and the last thing I want to do is go somewhere that isn’t my bed...

I haven’t been depressed to your extent but going to the gym could possibly help with your depression and stress.
I hope you pull through your depression and put it in its place ❤️

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I struggled with depression from childhood up until I was about 29. I got better until I turned 36. Then I started having health issues a couple years ago & I fell right back into it. Currently i'm doing well, but I understand the struggle and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Has this been something ongoing throughout your life? Or could it be postpartum depression? I know you mentioned previously takings meds, but do you talk to anyone about it...doctors or a therapist? It's nearly impossible for a person to understand unless they've experienced it... try to remember that when your husband isn't being understanding. And remember that it's difficult for him too, to see you like this and not be able to fix it. Think of how you feel when your kids are sick and you can't do anything to fix it, that's probably how he feels & it can get frustrating. Just let him know that you need him to be there for you and comfort you. Try to explain to him that this is not a choice...you aren't choosing to be depressed, it's not something you can control. It's an actual medical condition just like any other sickness. I know there is nothing I can say to make you feel better, but just know that you're not alone. You should definitely go back on your medication and find/continue talking to someone. Don't give up trying to get better... remember that you are needed & loved. ❤🤗 *Hugs*

Thank you 💙 I’ve been on antidepressants since I was 14 for reasons I rather not speak of...I went off my
Meds when I got pregnant with my second baby and have been doing amazing since recently and I don’t know what happened! I am still seeing a therapist so I probably will go on a low dosage of my meds to see if I just need a pick me up or something...never thought about that perspective for my husband and I’m glad
You said something but I needed to hear that...and it does make me wonder if this is just postpartum depression but I’m a stay at home mom with no friends at all...so far could have something to do with it too lol

You're welcome. I am also a sahm with no friends, I hear you. I moved out of state about 13 yrs ago & I've never made any friends since I've been here. It's hard to make friends as an adult. It sounds like you're doing everything you can to get help so that's good, just don't give up. I hope you'll start feeling better once you get back on the medication. I would suggest talking to your husband about it. Just letting him know that you understand it's hard on him too, can go a long way. And that you don't expect him to be able to understand but that you need him to be there for you to help you through it. I'm so sorry for everything you've been through & I truly hope you'll get better very soon.

Don't beat yourself up because depression crept it's way back in, you have just had a baby... there are some major hormonal changes going on that could take a while to balance. I know from my own experience, mental health problems make your brain extra sensitive to these changes and no man could possibly understand just how much hormones mess with your wellbeing. Shit, they are responsible for your mood, appetite, sleep and your ability to think and reason. I don't think women generally recognise what hormonal beings we are and how difficult all these changes are. Be kind to yourself, give yourself permission to rest, but if you can, even light exercise could be the boost you need. I would tell your partner specifically what you need. Sometimes you really have to spell it out. It is amazing that you have been doing so well for so long without antidepressants and I think you should give yourself credit for that!

You know I didn’t think about putting it that way and thank you for doing that! I needed it...I am going back to school and hit the books hard, little to no sleep, and just feel disgusting with my body! So yeah it crept back in hard when reality hit and the newborn baby is growing up! Lol but thank you I will try to not be so harsh on myself 💙💙
