Been feeling like an alien for the last 7months, Tonight is the first night I've really felt like myself. I sort of lost myself after Riley was born, I just felt rubbish and yucky all the time. I still do but tonight I feel like myself and I miss it!

I've had a day spent entirely with my baby boy, mum and my sister. My mum being the absolute rock that she is has looked after Riley for me whilst I went to the dentist. She's cuddled with him, fed him and changed him all so that I could have a little break from it all. She took me to a shop to show me a t-shirt that she knew for a fact I'd love (Harry Potter!), then bought it for me knowing she had previously told me to leave my purse at home as I wouldn't need it 🙈

She had me stay for my dinner

Told me to hand Riley over and get a shower to relax if I wanted

She's now letting me stay for the night 😍

Accept the help offered! Take a nap, have a hot meal/drink and enjoy it undisturbed, Have a long relaxing bath or shower. Take the time to yourself for a few minutes, we deserve a break every so often as us mummies do so much hard work for such little people but a lot of us don't seem to do much for ourselves. #helpinghand #mummiesrock #wearethetruesuperheroes #wereamazing
