For me my first didnt hurt i got the epidural my second was HELLLLLLLL the epidural didnt work my contractions were ALL strong. My 3rd my contractions were stong for an hour then got the epidural i didn't tear with any. I was up and walking 20 mins after birth with all 3.
I used gas and air although I did opt for an epidural but by the time they came to do it I’d already got to 8cm in an hour. It did hurt but was tolerable. I was more focused on finally getting to meet my little man and I’d have gone through the pain again if I could feel the way I did when he was put on my chest and I looked into his eyes.x
I got an epidural after they started pitocin. I didn’t feel the birth at all. jus in my face from pushing. lol. and was only a little sore for a couple days after.
In my experience contractions are hell! But if you get the epidural which I recommend you don’t feel anything when pushing the doctor will advise you when to push. I believe that postpartum is a pain in the butt literally. Postpartum hurt me the most due to tear and uncomfortable to use the bathroom.

I got my epidural at 9.5cm (not knowing I was that far) and felt everything...if this was my first child I wouldn't have had anymore!

Of course no pain no gain ! But it’s do-able just keep focused listen to your body and go with the flow x

Yep and then hope you don’t tear all the way down to your booty hole or in my case...the other direction! Yup you can tear there too!

I honestly didn't think I'd make it through it

It hurts but it’s not to the extreme like they make it look in movies well for me anyway (no epidural here) I went all natural for both.

I had an epidural and didn’t feel anything. I think the after birth/healing was the worst part. But like I said I had an epidural!
