My tooth hurts really bad and there is no 24/7 hour dentist. If I go to the ER, would they be able to do anything while I'm pregnant
That really sucks because I'm waiting to call my dentist. I have to see them.. my tooth and mouth have been hurting all night. Nothing is working
Hospitals in my state won’t help with anything when it comes with teeth. I second what pp said with clove oil. You can also chop an onion and keep it on your tooth. Helps ease the pain.
Pick up some orajel and clove oil. Clove oil is what the dentist used when I got dry socket and no pain medication helped at all. I felt relief within minutes. The ER is for emergencies, I wouldn't go for my tooth hurting.
@anicole3285 I had all four wisdom teeth pulled and got dry socket on every single one of them after. That's why I recommended the clove oil. But be my guest, go sit for hours in an *emergency* room.
@bodybycheetos bet you were prescribed something though that could help you through the process
@anicole3285 nothing helped except the clove oil. I was prescribed what they normally give when you get your wisdom teeth pulled and then nothing but the clove. I was also not pregnant.
You can always call the nurse line at your local hospital and they can tell you if they can do anything for you. They won't here, maybe give ibuprofen and tell you to see a dentist.
Get some orajel and call the dentist in the morning. Don't go to the emergency room for a toothache.
Orajel isn't working. It's unbearable and so painful. It's more then a little toothache
@anicole3285 well it sounds like your mind is made up. Go to the ER.
@massgirl I'm waiting as long as I possibly can. Tryed a few home remedies
They won’t be able to do anything especially bc you’re pregnant. They need your Ob to sign off even for a cleaning. You can take Tylenol and rinse with saltwater until the morning. Then call your OB for a referral to the dentist. The most they will even give pregnant is Tylenol 3 and that is if you’re passed your 1st trimester.
