If you are MARRIED esp WITH KIDS... You should not be living w/ either of y'all parents. MY OPINION. I know there's the "I'm taking care of my mom", "we are saving $", "i cant afford daycare so I live at home" etc but still...na. If he/y'all was not stable or financially comfortable to live on your own then you shouldn't have got married YET. IDK, I could not imagine getting married and us going home to our "room" with my parents 😮 Like I can't walk around naked..have sex...anything lol. That just my opinion...I'm NOT knocking those of y'all who do, to each it own. Do you boo boo
I agree or even if u have a kid of age u shouldn't live w your parents!
I agree! My moms bfs daughter has been living with them, and her 3 kids and her bf. My poor mom can't even get a break and they always leave the kids with my mom like she's there damn personal babysitter.
Multigenerational homes have always been a common thing? Especially in other countries, but it wasn't until the 50s and the whole 'nuclear family' ideal that it started being viewed as something weird. Lots of people like, like their families, and want to be close to them? As long as everyone is contributing, respecting boundaries, and happy with the set up, what's the issue? If your options are a nice house with people you love, or a tiny apartment alone, you would really choose to be alone?
Married would not be alone. I would prefer to be in a tiny apartment with my husband than live with family. Now if it was just me...single and alone, I would definitely chose to live with my parents/family. For a bit.
I definitely understand in some other countries the wholeeee family lives together and that's a beautiful thing for them ☺
I totally agree. My husband wasnt even having that even when we were just dating. He felt like as a man he has got to get us our own shit. I lived w my mom and he lived w his mom and we moved out at 21. We been independent for years. My older sister & her husband lived w us and my mom a few times and me and my husband used to be like whaaa? Lol and they got married wayyyy before us. We both said when we 1st moved out we are NEVER going back home.
Well my boyfriend and I and my daughter just moved in with my parents 🤷🏽♀️ it's a 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and we have the whole downstairs (3 rooms - 1 being a second master, 2 bathrooms) to ourselves.
My niece who they raise is graduating and going off to college this year.
My parents just built a 3 bedroom house 2 doors down so... I'm going to wait it out and probably just assume the house when they move 😂🤣💁🏽♀️ idc idc.
@doubleksmommy, lol girl! I'm definitely going to have a cali house. That's my favorite state! 😂
Girl i couldn’t agree with you more I understand things happen but there is no way I would be doing that and I definitely wouldn’t be bringing kids into it it’s like you have to live under there rules and not your own wake up when they say wake up awe nahhh I couldn’t do it I had a friend that stayed with their in laws because the hubby lost his job and she said it was the worst that it pushed her husband to find a job within a week and been on the same job since they were making them wake up at the crack of dawn to go look for a job and then the simple fact of having to share a kitchen a PGE bill there no way I’m sorry once I got a taste of freedom and having my own I wouldn’t dare go back to living under someone else that’s cooking my man dinner and cleaning up when it should be me girl my mama didn’t raise no fool😂
Girl right! I had to move home like 10 years ago when my oldest was like 2/3yrs old for 3 months and let me tell you....i was ready to disown my parents. Like whyyy are y'all up at 5am on a saturday, don't tell me when to do the dishes, most of all don't ask where I'm going/coming backkk 😑😂😂
@doubleksmommy, girl right they automatically think they have the right to treat you like your a child again m🙄
I also could not live with family. I love my parents but we had to live in their basement about 2 years after we were married (only for 4 months while we built a house) and it was so hard! We had the entire basement to ourselves which was big and we had our own kitchen, family room and 2 bedrooms. And only a 1 year old. But by the end of that 4 months we were in a rush to move out! So grateful they let us stay, but we were happy to leave. :)
Totally Agree🙌 I have too many kids to live with my parents lmao They'd lose their mind and so will I. And I wouldn't ever dare with my in laws either. I read the other day on here a post we are tired of living on my parents living room floor. I had to double 👀like Oh hell no dude would've been to the curb once that option was available. Not I! I just couldn't. I'm not perfect but my pride won't let it go down like that and ain't no love in the world&we at my parents house together with my kids lmao. Its just best when you have your own.
Girlllll right! He wouldn't be my bf/husband fiance cuddy buddy none of that if we are sleeping on anyone's floor. I don't know how people can keep having kids living with their parents! Like dude really.. your parents job is done you grown, get out don't bring them more babies to start over lol.
@doubleksmommy Lmbooo Yeah Fr! He get no love for that move hahaha😂 we married fenna live where???? Hell No! We fenna be divorced secs later hahaha ppl be crazy these days. Idk shit ain't right. And you two both work with a kid thats not happening. I'm singing,"No, no, nooo!".Lol.
@linacorral1562 singing "I don't want no scrub...."
Living with people as a couple with kids in general is a huge no. People eventually get annoyed and want your ass gone. My moms clean is different from what I think is clean so that wouldn’t work and my in-laws nosey ass hell. 😂🤷🏽♀️ I don’t know how some people do it.
Omg you nailed it lol. That's how it was thinking when I got preggo with my first livin at home..like I'm not about to have my baby annoy y'all...yall annoy me...change up the house and do all that so I bounced b4 I had her. They were like damn u could've stayed...na I'm good fam lol. Living with in laws should be prohibited period
I agree or even if u have a kid of age u shouldn't live w your parents!
Right! When I got preg with my first I was still living at home and moved out a few months before I had her. I was like i just can not stay here lol
Now if i didn't have any kids or a husband, I might still be at my parents house 😂😂
@ecahanes even a weekend with them is pretty long😂😂
Brandon’s dad lived with us but he’s the chill one. His mom was a huge no lol
@doubleksmommy, ugh his mom is a damn evil Witch !
Our first month married I had to live with my inlaws (house wasn't quite done) worst month of my life 😂
See that is okay, if there's a place awaiting you LOL. Girl, I couldn't imagine living with my in laws for a monthhhh lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
