I can’t stand being around my S/O family and we’re having a birthday party for my daughter on the 19th and I just feel like it’s gonna be so awkward he keeps telling me to lighten up make conversation and just be myself but how do you do that with people that don’t like you and you know they don’t like you 🤷🏽♀️not saying I’m gonna be rude and not speak or have a bad attitude or anything I’m just confused as to what we’re suppose to talk about how do you even strike up a conversation with people you know doesn’t like you ? 😒🤦🏽♀️ I can’t wait for the day to be over already 🤦🏽♀️I just want my princess to have fun sing happy birthday and go home that’s it that’s all

Are others going to the party? At my daughter’s, well first of all I found myself busy with all the party details and spending time with my daughter, but when she was off playing I found myself talking to a lot of people, I really didn’t talk too much to the in-laws, it was not intentional, just the way it worked. A few of my friends were there and some of my side of the family as well. Hopefully there are others you can focus on :). If it ever gets awkward you can always say you need to take some pictures now or put more drinks out etc.

Fake it till you make it!! Kill them with kindness!! I'm in the Same situation, My Family doesn't like Me and I Know it because I call them out on their fakeness all the time but I say Hi and ask them how their day is with a simple phone call or in person and I usually leave it at that because I have absolutely no time for their stress and drama!🙅🏾♀️

I know the feeling i tried being nice for years.... now im like why its my sons day and they dont make and effort to see him so... no invite. Only people who love are support us get to be with us no fake family for me

They make an effort for my daughter well at least his dad does his dad is the only one that doesn’t seem to have a problem with me

I don’t get along with most of my bf mediate family . They also feel like in order to have any type of relationship with our son we have to take him to go see them or they won’t even make the effort @ all . Smh I hate people like that . But this year I’m tryna just think about my family and that’s all .
