Although, its "only" my sons first birthday.... and hes not going to remember it... his cake i am going above and beyond with it... is that bad? I mean i am decorating as well... but not like i want his cakes....

Exactly. I really wanna go all out for Daniel, but i have people in the corner saying hes only one he wont remember it.

I built a Mickey Mouse balloon arch for my son’s first. I say go all out. Lol.

Plenty of people had an opinion about it including my husband but I didn’t care. The first birthday is a big deal to me. I’ll go all out on my stepdaughter when she turns 16 in April too. 🤷♀️

Not bad at all. Everyone is different, I paid 480 for my daughters first birthday cake. But it was my money so it didn’t matter what anyone thought
