When I was on the pill it was bleeding a lot

When I was on the shot I bled the entire time. 🙃 I’m not on birth control right now though and my periods last about 5 days. It’s definitely normal for them to be irregular after giving birth though. If you’re concerned definitely talk to your doctor.
