Soooo I need some advice. There’s a girl, who is very jealous of me, my son, and my relationship with my fiancée, who recently told me “your 14 month old has no teeth because he is always sucking on his binky”.

Is that true mommy’s? He does only have two teeth as of now. Does the use of binkys prolong teeth growing in?

No that's nt true. My oldest had his binky until almost 3 and his teeth were fine and my youngest still sucks his paci like urs he has to have it clipped or he will be looking all over for it. It is advised to take them away at 1 but hes still a baby in my eyes so I'm nt in a hurry to stress him out. Tell ur friend to stop hating lol

Seriously? 😐 If that were true then my son wouldn’t have teeth. He used one until about 3 months ago and had all his baby teeth by the time he was 18 months.

No. My son stopped using his pacifier at 5 months. He was close to 11 months when teeth started coming in.

No. Not true. Plus, dental problems don't start with pacifiers until about 4 years

It has been said to affect the way in which they grow but not the number. If it really bothers you take him to a dentist.

@taylor.stahr I think they encouraged to get rid of that and the bottle around 15 months I think the WIC told me I took my son's pacifier away at 1 year and never gave it back to him he didn't make much of a fuss but he was looking for it but I guess it just all depends because the only reason why I really took it away from him was because he bit into it and as far as the bottle he won't drink milk out of anything else but the bottle so I'm still trying to work on that but as far as that goes no it doesn't affect how many teeth come in just how they come in
