Ive noticed since I’ve had this cold my milk has a more yellow tint to it than before it’s not as white as it was has this happened to anyone before ??

Your milk changes to meet baby's needs. If you two have been sick or your antibodies are kicking in, it changes your milk

The yellow is an increase in your antibodies to support baby’s immune system. Since you are sick and your body is working extra to help you, your body will also protect your baby!

@beakymcspence, it’s not super yellow it’s the same as when I first started pumping it was white then a golden tone then it went back almost white not it’s golden again . I just assumed since I have a cold it was linked to that

Yeah, it will change to your babies needs. The yellow probably has something in it to help baby to not get your cold.

The yellow tint is usually attributed to fat content (but if it’s really yellow can be a sign of infection) ❤️
