My son will literally tell me “bad” as he’s going to do something bad and no matter what I say he will still do it. 🤦♀️ how can I teach him if it’s bad you don’t do it?

you have to be consistent. He's young and many learn by repetition at that age.
Repeat, repeat, repeat, until he understands.

It means he doesnt understand bad. He understands you associate it with that action, but not the meaning. Which is developmentally appropriate at that age. Explain to him WHY. Then redirect. Show him what he can do.
It takes many, many times of repetition and consistency.
