How do you get a 4-year-old to stop biting his nails? He's bitten them down so short it looks painful. I never catch him doing it so he must be doing it at school.

When my youngest was 3 she used to bite her nails like crazy. I felt so bad but I would continuously redirect her attention and then one day she just stopped. Thank the Lord🙌

That's what I was planning on doing but I have never even seen him bite them. I didn't even notice until yesterday when I was going to clip his nails. Hopefully he'll stop too.

They make a nail polish type of liquid that's supposed to help. I haven't tried it, but I saw it in a baby isle once.
