I'm not sure if there's any teenage mothers on this site but if there is one question for y'all how did yall tell your parents you are pregnant? I'm 13 weeks & scared to death to tell my folks. Only my cousin, her mom, plus the dad know about the pregnancy. Idk if I'm in the right app, but thought I'd check it out. If there's another app for this please tell me. Thanks. #myfirstpost

They didn't find out about her til her first birthday. Once I found out I was pregnant, I left home & never returned cause my parents always said "you end up pregnant, your out of here" I want them to be apart of their life but not sure how to break it to them. This is probably stupid.

I wouldn't tell them if that's the way they are. Regardless if you're a pregnant teen, they should still support you as their child.
My dad didnt always agree with my decisions or the fact I got pregnant at 17 but he was always supportive of my actions.
I say just let it be for now. Leave your pregnancy stress free.

To add, I didn't even tell my mom about my last pregnancy. She heard through the grape vine. She's also only met her when she was dying in the hospital. Not since though. Even though we're younger, we deserve respect too.

I was 17 when I got pregnant with my daughter but I didn’t tell my parents at all. I posted on Facebook and was going to tell my dad but my mom told him and I wasn’t going to tell her at all since she abandoned me at 14 years old. I’m pregnant again and no one knows I’m pregnant again. 🤷🏼♀️

See my mom is the only person I used to be close with but somehow after I got with my baby daddy she stopped being close with me or helping me. I don't understand it. He's there for us, he works, he provides for us, he has never abandoned us. So it's like this time around I don't wanna tell them but then I don't know. Mixed emotions.

I was 17 when I found out I was pregnant and my parents were also strict like yours sound. I think that since you already have a baby and they missed out on seeing her grow up maybe they’ll be understanding and more accepting. My advice for situations like these are always just to sit down with them and be completely honest there really isn’t a special way or less stressful way to tell them. If they’re upset they’ll eventually get over it and love you and you baby regardless. I was scared to tell my parents as well and they were pissed but they got over it and I’m sure your parents will do the same. I always tell girls the sooner you tell them the sooner you can relax and just enjoy your pregnancy without the worries and anxiety it gives you holding it in even writing it on a paper or texting them is a good idea if you feel you can’t verbally tell them.

If you are not living with them ...I'd wait a little while and tell them when the time is right and everyone is in a good space. Enjoy it, don't stress. I mean you already have one kid they know about now, so I don't think it should be a big deal.

I did it the wrong way so I won't recommend that. As a parent myself now... I would want my child to approach me and be honest. I'd want her to tell me her plan, what she's going to do, and be open.
