So, I'll try to make it short, my period is roughly four days late today. So, idk why but I just figured I'd check for my IUD strings while in the shower to see if I can still feel them, since up until now I have been able to.
Well, I can't feel them anymore, and I mean I searched. I practically went on a scavenger hunt up there and I can't feel a single thing.
So now, I'm paranoid. Did it fall out? Am I pregnant? Did it get embedded?
Any other mommas IUD go MIA? Or what?
I need to hear from other mommas, because clearly my mind is jumping to worst case scenario.
ETA: I am going to make an appointment in the morning, until then just looking for insight so I stop freaking out. 😂

I am a product of an IUD.. that was in 79' i have heard many stories even now too

I would make an appointment. I’ve heard a couple stories of women getting pregnant because their IUD shifted.

I have never been able to feel my strings. My ob cut them pretty short.

no it was ectopic which is common with iud pregnancies, I had to have 2 rounds of chemo meds to dissolve my pregnancy.

I have the IUD and I’m about to check for my strings too because for some reason I keep having the feeling that I am pregnant.
