So I am going to give the Keto diet a try for my oldest whom is diagnosed with autism. I heard so many storied about eliminating certain foods from the diet to improve attention. I was curious if any other mom's have tried the diet and what you have thought? We're still going to test it out.
@sleepymommy I am just eliminating gluten and dairy for about a week or 2. I am not going super strict either.
I don’t know a lot about keto but I don’t think it’s an appropriate diet for a 2 year old. Have you spoken to her doctor or a specialist?
I am only eliminating dairy and gluten for a while to see if it improves her attention. She won't have as much of the meats because too much could be bad. Mostly veggies, nuts, fruits, etc. For at least a week or 2.
I recommend speaking with a nutritionist. A full keto lifestyle is not ok for young children. You could adapt it though.

@kami24706 I would look at eliminating artificial dyes, artificial sugars and added refined sugar.
Keto is intense. My husband is doing it and he went thru the “keto flu” and he still has low energy and I just don’t think it’s worth it. Join some groups on Facebook. They have a lot of info.
My brother is on the keto diet let me tell you he lost so much weight i don’t understand how lol😭😩🤣😳 it amazes me lol all he eats is meat with some certain veggies it’s crazy lol @kami24706,
I've read that keto diet can lead to bone loss in children. I would definatly talk to a doctor or specialist before putting a child especially a 2 year old on any diet. They may seem safe but there could be underlying factors that can take place
