Once, when Shemaiah was about 3 months I vented here about how sleepless, tired, depressed I was. And I asked: when is it that they say it gets easier?? When will I sleep more than two hours? When will I take a shower properly? Many “whens” on my post.... and there is things that even coming from a person you don’t know, mark you and you will never forget. Someone said: get used to it, it will never get easier, this will be your life from now on. And I cried loud.

For when he was about 1 year, I found myself sleeping more, Shemaiah adjusting to my schedule, me getting everything done quick and simple with no fear and him playing by himself in his play yard, which left me with more time to take showers, do my eyebrows, brush my hair, eat peacefully. Mostly enjoying Shemaiah and my new life.

Then I remembered what that lady said. And I don’t know how her life has been, what she has been trough, but at least for me she was wrong. It DOES get easier, they grow older and adjust to life, they are babies they will learn what you teach them. It’s true that you will forever be in an alert state and very busy. But the first year is very very hard.

One thing that helped was that Shemaiah never fully slept with me, only occasionally. The first 3 months he slept in his bassinet and then he felt better and slept better in the crib. Now he will be 3 years old in 4 months and he sleeps in his twin size bed with fences to prevent him from falling. And he loves it. (Mommy and daddy also love the space in bed and their alone time).

So, momma, hang in there, stay strong and don’t forget about yourself. She needs a happy mom, who is not hungry, too sleepy or too tired to be able to transmit good feelings to her. ♥️💕 later you will miss that little tiny body in your arms, bc time flies. 💕 have a good night mama.

It’s not all the time only when she needs something but it’s just tough

It’s so hard mama. I know you’re running on fumes right now but it won’t always be like this. It all got so much better for me with both kids around 3 months. Do your best to enjoy those newborn snuggles. Take it one day at a time. Hang in there!

Even thought people warn you about the no sleep in the beginning nothing prepares you for how hard it really is and how little sleep you will get. Even when everyone tells you to sleep when they do. It’s hard. I don’t go into a deep sleep anymore bc I’m always listening out for him!

@cutiepatootie, lucky my guy is calm in my arms. Just if I lay him down before he’s completely asleep he wakes up

@fishinamanda, Yes she’s the same way and she plays sleep lol so I’ll think she’s asleep and go to lay her down then BOOM back at square one 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Hang in there...it will get easier❤ Have patience with her...she was used to being with you all the time and now she's not...she just wants her mommy😍 I am writing this as I'm up nursing my sweet almost 6 month old and I'm wondering where did my tiny, squawking newborn go😭 I know it is tough now, but hang in there...it won't be like this for long❤

😍😍 so very true... I always look at her as she’s whining whenever being changed or bathed & I say “It’s ok baby, we’re both learning & we’ll figure this thing out”

It will get easier... believe it or not other than the lack of sleep, you'll miss this time and the peace and quiet.

Lol yes, I’ve been told you miss these days as they get older... I just wish sleeping was easier but other than that I enjoy her being this small and the bonding. Nighttime is just a wreck for me 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
