My son was difficult too. In my experience it seems that by 3 yrs old they know exactly what to do, it's just a matter of them deciding they want to do it. (Unless of course if there is some sort of medical issue or delay.) My son was almost 4yrs old before he would go on the potty...he was just stubborn and wouldn't do it! But once he decided he wanted to then he was all good. Night time took him much longer though. One of my daughters was trained at 2. My youngest is another case of being stubborn. She knows exactly what to do but keeps going back & forth. I started around 20 mths and she was going on the potty for about 2wks and then just started going in her pants all day long again. So i took a break from it bc she was refusing to go when I prompted her & I wasn't going to turn it into a power struggle. Then I tried again and she was just off and on. Just the other day she was going consistently on the potty for 2 days and now she's back to going in her pants all day. 🤷♀️ I obviously don't have the answer i just think each child is different. Maybe just keep prompting him to go on the potty and if he fights you on it, then just let it go at the moment but keep prompting him on occasion to give him a gentle push. If he starts to seem open to it then start trying consistently again.
My son will be 3 next month and isn’t potty trained yet, he absolutely refuses. I’m trying to wait until he’s really ready but it’s hard esp when people keep asking if he’s potty trained yet and why not 😒
My daughter's 2 and they've been asking for months...mostly my parents. I can't stand it, it's so irritating. And honestly...why does anyone else care?! People always have something to say like when are you going to stop breastfeeding? Why aren't you breastfeeding? When are you going to give that kid some real food? Your baby should be sleeping through the night. You need to sleep train them. Blah blah blah Always meddling in other people's business.

Exactly! People need to mind their own business. It’s not a life threatening situation over here so why do others care so much! Lol

That's what I can't figure out. If they aren't the ones buying and changing diapers/pull-ups and it's not their child then they shouldn't care.
