My first pregnancy I would have gotten one at my first appointment which my office did it at 12 weeks. I ended up miscarrying before that appointment so they told me as soon as I got pregnant again to call the office and they would do a blood draw.

I called my second pregnancy, and they monitored my blood to make sure it was rising like it should. Once it reached a certain amount, they had me get an ultrasound to make sure it was a viable pregnancy. That was 6 weeks 2 days.

I’m high risk so that’s why I get so many ultrasounds

I always got them early because I was high risk.

I have to go every 2 weeks in the first trimester because I am high risk. We've lost 3 of our 6 pregnancies in the last 5 years. Some doctors choose to do scans at almost every appointment. My doctor chooses to do 2 (a dating scan and an anatomy scan) if you dont have any history of complications. Some doctors will only do an anatomy scan. Speak to your doctor.

And mine takes you the sencond you get a positive test and sends you for a dating ultrasound at 7w, a week before the next appointment 🤷‍♀️

I had my 1st ultrasound at 12 weeks, before the ultrasound they used a heartbeat doppler 💕 I guess it just depends on your OB, where you live & your insurance🤔 I'm not sure 😬
