What’s a good age to get my daughter’s ears pierced?
With a gun ... to me a gun is less painless for them ... their ears are so fragile a needle is too much in my opinion...
guns can’t be cleaned, it’s also blunt force trauma to your ear, whereas a needle goes straight through and is less painful.
Needle is safer from contamination since the gun can't be sanitized properly and they use the same gun for everyone it's never a new gun unlike needles you get a new needle for every person so your just passing germs from ear to ear of everyone with the gun
My oldest for hers pierced when she was 5 months. My little one got hers at 1 years old.
whenever you do, avoid piercing guns. they cannot be sanitized and are very damaging to their ears. most people wait until 2-3 months i believe.
I agree with the poster above. With that being said you might run into issues getting it done. I called every piercing shop in my town (to pierce with a needle instead of a gun) and none of them do it unless the child is 3 or older a few shops wouldn't do it unless she's 5.
I don’t agree i feel like the gun is better for a baby the needle takes a piece of your ear out ... but to each its own do whatever you feel is safer for your child...
