So excited to have finally gotten my fetal doppler in the mail. How nearly can you use it to check heart rate and what is a good heart rate for baby at 5 weeks 5 days? Can it be heard this early with a doppler? I'm so anxious to hear heartbeat and ease my mind.

Thank you. It's my second. I used a different one with my daughter. But I forgot everything lol. Shes 2.5yrs old so it's been a while lol. Thanks for the advice.

You'd be best to try and find it after the first trimester because it'll be easier to find that way and if you try now you'll just stress yourself out worrying when you can't find it
Way too early. It’s hard for doctors to find a heartbeat on ultrasound that early even. I think the earliest I found mine with the Doppler was 9-11 weeks. And it takes some practice. I suggest watching some YouTube videos demonstrating show to use it properly. That really helped me.
I was told you cant hear a heart beat till 8 to 10 weeks
My dr is suppose to try to find it and hear it at my 8 week appt. My first appt. I'm just so excited and wanted to try to find it.

I had one. I’m assuming this is your first child. When you use an at home doppler, if you arent experienced there is a lot of other noises you hear lol. Try and listen to hearbeats on a video of an idea of what it sounds like. It’s really hard to find the baby’s heartbeat early on. &’ In the beginning the baby is really low, so you would have to look a bit lower down your belly button. Also depends where your baby is at. The baby’s heatbeat will be faster than yours. Sometimes you will pickup both yours and babies, or just yours. On top of that theres this whoosh sound haha. But its pretty interesting. Just have an enough ultrasound gel ready. Incase you have to try multiple times you try and find baby’s heatbeat
