Ok so called an obgyn to schedule first appointment, I have to go and have like a meeting with the doctor about pregnancy. And I asked then I get us after ,she says no we dont do ultrasound until later!!! What how much later I'll be 12 weeks Friday! Like I haven't even seen baby heartbeat how they even know it's in there ??
My significant other hasn’t been to one appt. am I crazy for being bothered about it? I’m already depressed I’m having another baby. I didn’t even want anymore. I feel like I don’t have the support I need.

Yeah I would expect them to have checked for a heartbeat by now. I had a first sonogram by 8 weeks to check for a heartbeat and make sure everything was okay as well as confirm my due date to make sure I was further along or not as far along as we thought.

@alisha_byers, noo chances are there is definitely a baby in there and everything is fine but yeah there definitely should still be an appt to specifically check that . Maybe look into seeing a new doctor ?

I'm pretty sure they'll at least schedule an u/s if for nothing else, to confirm your due date. I had a few earlier but I'm high risk.

I think because I knew the date of my last period they think that's pretty accurate to go for due date

@alisha_byers I did too, but my Dr still wanted to confirm. My u/s actually showed I was about a week less than I actually was but he's going with my LMP date anyway.

My 1st OB appointment I didn't have an ultrasound to hear the heart beat💕 they used the handheld heart beat doppler 🙃

My first appointment just did a pee test to confirm, and then from that appointment we scheduled the first ultrasound. I even knew the day I conceived, but they still did it to confirm the due date. I had the u/s at 7 weeks or so.

I had my first appointment just to confirm my pregnancy. Then I had my first actual OB appointment. They did just a dating transvaginal ultrasound to check the heart rate and to make sure the baby is growing. Then they set up another appointment with the ultrasound tech to get another ultrasound done
