So recently within the last month my daughter has maybe developed stranger anxiety? She cries with everyone but me. Like screams and won’t settle. It’s so hard because I really don’t have the ability to stay home with her past mid February because I have to return to work. She is 3 months old now and will be 4.5 by the time I go back. Any advice or experience on this phase?? My son was not like this he loved everybody but she is also breastfed he was not so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. Help!!

My daughter had stranger anxiety too. She would cry anytime she saw an unfamiliar face and she wouldn’t let anyone but my husband and I and her grandparents hold her. She developed it around 5 months and it went away at 7 months. Now she smiles at everyone. I was told it’s very normal.

Separation anxiety. It’s being separated from you that she doesn’t like. I was the same way as a baby. I was at my mom and dads wedding(2 months old) obviously my parents couldn’t hold me the WHOLE time so other people had to and the only person that could without me screaming was my grandma(moms mom). I was just only comfortable with her and my parents.

Try introducing her to who will be watching her and respecting her boundaries. Take it 1 day at a time and try to build up on it till she's more comfortable.
