So I want to take an ASL class before I start nursing school 😍 I’d love to be able to be that person that can help communicate with the deaf. I was taking ASL in high school but the school I was going to canceled the class. Now I feel satisfied on what exactly I want to do!

I would actually love to teach myself but I’d like to be certified or something just so at jobs I can prove that it’s something I’m qualified to do. I’m sure I don’t NEED it but I’d like to be lol I love asl and I’m actually trying to re teach myself because at my current day care job we have a new little girl she’s 2, she can’t walk or crawl, she’s completely blind and she has cochlear implants so she can hear but since I have a background of asl I’ve been trying to learn again so I can teach her and understand her

That is awesome. My mom, me and my oldest younger brother and sister all learned it growing up. I love it. Hubby wants to learn and we plan on teaching our daughter as well.

@bubbys.mommy lol it just takes practice. Just use it as much as possible for things you do. Like whenever you say "you" do the sign and when you refer to "mommy" or "daddy". Just make it as nuch of a part of life as possible and he will pick it up, just like when learning to talk.

girl he can’t even talk! Like AT ALL. Which is why I need him to learn signs cause it’s just whining and crying and idk what he wants
