Okay mamas; lately my baby screams bloody murder at night at the top of his lungs. He refuses to sleep even though I know he’s exhausted, but he fights it and screams. I try to breastfeed him, rock him, hold him, put him down and pat his side, warm up a bottle for him, but he shakes his head and screams louder. Any idea what this could be? He’s not in pain. But he sounds like he is. Idk if it’s just teething pain to the extreme or what? I had to drive around just to get him to fall asleep. But man am I exhausted...advice anyone?

Does he have night terrors? Because this boy I know does and he would wake up in the middle of the night and do the same thing a lot of people give there child that has sleeping problems a low dose of melatonin and helps them sleep through the night a lot of doctors recommend it but some dont until they are five

I’m not sure but I think it would be night terrors too! I’ll have to talk to the pediatrician about it.

Has baby been sick in the past few weeks? If so he could have got an ear infection. Is he pulling at his ear at all?

He got over a cold. But he isn’t pulling at his ears. I caught him picking in his ears but only twice. He hasn’t since then.

My son used to throw fits about going to sleep. I tried rocking him walking him singing everything I could think of then my grandma bought an exercise ball and had me swaddle him and bounce on it with him. He was out in like ten minutes. I used to have to do that every night to get him to bed untill he grew out of it.
