I was complaining of pressure and pain down there so my DR checked me today and she looked shocked and said "Oh gosh wow you're already 3cm." I didn't think it was that uncommon ? 🤔

They may want to check you in any subsequent pregnancies as that is early to dilate that much. It could mean something, it could be nothing. Warrants closer monitoring though. Hopefully baby bakes a bit more.
She said she will check me next week again if I want to be but she isn't concerned because I can stay at 3cm for awhile.
@aileenquinter123 it's not concerning in a way... I was 4.5cm for weeks. However, early dilation to that extent is something to make note of in future pregnancy
I was “2-3” at 36 weeks with my first two kids. I was induced at 38 weeks with both of them for medical reasons
Yeah she said they won't let me go past 39 weeks so me being 3cm isn't bad it will help me along with the induction if I don't go before hand.
I was 2cm at 36 weeks, gave birth at 36+4. I was told no heavy lifting and no sex but that didn’t work
She just said they aren't letting me go past 39 because I take insulin and because I'm already 3cm she thinks I will go before then.
