Okay mommas I need help. I'm getting worried for my son he's 2 weeks and 1 day old and lately he's been coughing and gagging and throwing up. Is this normal?!?!?!?!?! I'm a first time mom and this is all new to me

Yes mine is having the same issues. Mine was just at his Ped for a check up and he has a stomach big. Watch for curdled milk and watery poop. There is stomach bugs going around. If it's not any of that, nurse for 5-10 minutes then burp then put back on breast. Or you can pull baby off a few minutes after let down and burp him.

He might just be drinking too fast as well.

@dessiboo, I had to pace feed my last. Feed for a few minutes then burp and reposition and repeat. Only lasted a few weeks

Be sure to use his bulb syringe to suction out the vomit so he doesn't gag on it. My son does this too so I always have the bulb on hand. Is he doing this after a feeding? He could be taking in too much at once. My son gags on my milk all the time while nursing. I have to pull him up and pat his back. He does spit up and sometimes vomits. Does he seem lethargic or acting less aware?
