What's the best to potty train a boy a while potty chair or just a ring to put on the real toilet?

It depends on the child. My son has always preferred sitting on the toilet as is.

I liked the ring in the toilet for my little man so when we are out he wasnt ever wierd about using the toilets in stores.

I got my son a potty and he likes to stand and aim he finds it fun
