My son is now 4 weeks & 4 days old. He’s roughly 10 pounds now and he was having 4 oz bottles during the day every 3-4 hours and then during the night he would wake every 4-5 hours for a 4oz bottle. But here recently he seems hungrier Sooner. Was gonna up his bottles to 5oz and see what happens. Does 5oz for a 4 week 4 day old baby seem like too much???
(My first born didn’t weight this much or eat this much. He was a lot tinier so that’s why I’m asking)
His pediatrician recommended upping him to 4oz at his 3 weeks check up so that’s why we did. What’s pace feeding? And yes we burp how we should, he burps super easy without trouble. @kbbaybee16, I’ve heard as baby’s gain weight it’s okay to up their feeding but wasn’t 100% sure if 5oz was a lot or not
@kay201, 5 ounces seems like a lot. My son didn’t drink more than 4 ounces at a time for a long time.
@kbbaybee16, he’s only eating 4 oz currently. I started 4 1/2 oz today and he seems to help him more
Olivia has a bottle every 2hrs of about 4-5oz. Does this seem too much or should i b doing it every 3hrs? She is now on formula n has boob at night, although sometimes she still has some boob inbetween bottle feeds.
should I be concerned that my little girl goes most nights without a bottle. midwife said she's should have a bottle every 3 hours, she does feed every 3-4 hours during the day but at night doesn't seem to wake for a bottle. am I wrong in leaving her to sleep?
Is it normal for an almost 4 week old to eat every two hours? We tried to extend feedings to every three but he freaks out
So apparently it’s not normal for my son to sleep as much as he does during the day. He takes a nap maybe two every day that last from 30 minutes to an hour
Is it normal for my 6 day old to want 4oz every 3 hours. Seems like way to much...
4 or 5 ounces sounds like a lot. Do you pace feed? Burp every ounce or half ounce?
