Is labour quicker with your 2nd baby? Just thinking back to my 41 hour labour, I'm really dreading going that long again! 😥😥
I've not long had my first and I was only in labour from about 11 am till 4 ish in the afternoon including birth,i was induced too xx
Not sure how long I was actually in full labour with my first but I was in hospital at 6pm with contractions and he was born at 02.09am so in hospital for 8 hours and my second I went in to be induced but turned out I didn't need to be and the just broke my waters that was at 10.40 and she was born 1 hour 40 mins later so was defo quicker 2nd time 👌 I've herd alot of people saying 2nd is fast also midwife told me second is usually quicker coz your body has done it before so it already knows what it needs to do x
That's very lucky you didn't have to be induced after all 😊 and an hour and 40 minutes is amazing! X
@lou I was scared of being induced as well so I was so relieved when she examined me and said I was already 3cm so could go to labour ward and have my water broke, I didn't quite expect it to be as quick as it it did but totally glad it did 👌😄 x
My first was 15 hours 19 mins and my second was 1 hour 1 minute haha, I guess it just depends on you hun x
Oh, I hope so!
I went through 42.5 hours of back labour last time, including being induced when I failed to dilate past 2cm on my own, then winding up in theatre to deliver the placenta... Really hoping I don't go through all that again.
