Omg ladies...I was just in the grocery store with Ava and she starts crying as I’m checking out and paying. There’s a lady behind me with her daughter and the mom leans into my car seat and touches her!!!! Not only did she touch her she picked up her pacifier and put it in her mouth for her. I don’t like strangers touching my baby. She seemed like a really nice lady and it took everything in me to not say, “Don’t touch my baby!!!!!” Me personally I would never touch some strangers baby. It just seems like common sense. Rant over.😩😩😩😡😡😡

She was probably trying to help out.. but I would of had to politely tell her "that was really sweet of you and I appreciate the gesture but I dont know you so please dont do that again. Thanks."

Yeah that’s why I didn’t say anything cause I knew she thought she was helping me but I HATE for a stranger to touch my baby.

yeah, she deff should of at least asked before she ever did it. I dont understand why it's almost 2019 and people think it's okay to reach for any reason towards someone elses kid.

Мама сына (1 год)
When we went to get my sons birth certificate he was about 3 months old. He was a preemie so he was about the size of a newborn at that point (maybe even smaller. About 6ish pounds.) Anyway he had had a ton of problems and ended up being sent home on oxygen, oxygen monitors, apnea moniters, ect. He had his nasal cannula and wires coming out of his clothes So it was obvious that he had health problems. This lady was looking at him for a while and she talked to him. To the point where I was getting a little creeped out. She kept pacing and all the sudden reached over for him. I hurried and switch him to my other arm and loudly and sternly said "Do not touch my baby. Thank you." Everyone in the room was looking at us by that point and the lady acted like she thought about doing it again! Then she hurried and walked away. I was not shy about it at all. You gotta stand up for your baby. Dont feel bad for hurting someone's feelings. I bet that lady wont be reaching for another womans baby.
In your instance I could see where the mom thought "if I was in this situation I might want the help." And just went ahead and helped. In that second you have to decide if you want to be stern/ borderline rude or nice and not get the point across. Because I know a lot of people who would think that "thank you but no thank you." Or "I appreciate your gesture but please dont touch my baby." Are just us kidding or jokingly being humble. It also depends on your location. Southern states, the people would think your saying it just to say it and continue doing what they were doing so you have to be stern. 🤷♀️ its tricky, even though it shouldn't be.
