I need a little advice. I'm barely pregnant and my boyfriends family is already telling me they have to be in the room while I push. His grandma told me that it doesn't matter what I want because its her great grandbaby. I was not raised like his family. I was raised to have a choice and not let people dictate how things go. I get that they want to be there but I dont get why I have to completely throw out what I want. I don't want a lot of people in the room watching my in pain while I push. Is that really so wrong?

No it isn’t wrong at all! No one wants the whole world looking at them while they are spread eagle and bringing life into the world. Let them think they’re gonna come in all they want, just tell the nurse on duty who you and do not want there and they will handle the rest. You don’t need stress while giving birth. Stand your ground.

Just don't tell anyone you're at the hospital until after you have the baby. That's what we did, it was just my boyfriend and I. We didn't have visitors until the next day. It was amazing to have that moment to ourselves.

You tell your dr and nurses and whoever else at the hospital that you do NOT what so ever want them in there! That is absolutely ridiculous. Baby’s great grandmother has NO right to tell you that it doesn’t matter what you want that’s bs. Sorry that made me so mad 😭😂

you can tell the hospital not to tell anyone you’re even there. i did that with my birth just to ensure no one tried to be sneaky and pop up uninvited. you can’t have a party in the room anyways, and it’s not their birth, it’s yours.

@karramae I don't think his family was there having sex with you creating this little blessing so they need to shut up and tell your man shush before you don't have him in the room too. 😂

Wait until it’s time to deliver and have the nurses tell them they can’t be in the room. It’s ultimately your choice.

You can tell the nurses you don’t want them in the room and they will make them leave

It is not their choice. You can even prevent visitors from coming in by telling the staff. So if it has to come to that while you are on labor. Definitely do that. Dont let them ruin that special time by being there if you don’t want them to.

My daughter is the first girl in my SO’s side of the family. So everyone was excited to see her. But we had blocked anyone who tries to come until like 2 hours after i had given birth so we could get that alone time together. After that everyone just started flooding in. Definitely glad we took the time to just enjoy it alone with baby.

Oh geez! Nooo! Stand your ground girl!! It’s you going threw the experience and pain bring a baby into this world it’s your choice!

We didn’t allow anyone at the hospital at all either time. it was our moment with our new baby and our bonding time.

@karramae when i had my daughter almost 8 yrs ago. I was in the room all by myself. I wanted my mom but she said she couldnt handle it so she stayed with me until it was time 2 push. I was mad so i made everyone get out. They stayed at tge door and when they heard her cry they came rushing in

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?

I don't have a baby boy. I would like to know personally how do you moms feel about people treating there sons like girls as in taking them to nail salons and getting pampered ect.... I think it's important for ladies to remember your not raising a little boy. At the end of the day your raising a man. If I have a son I just want to raise him to be the best man he can be. I won't treat him to the same things I would my daughter and vice versa.😕

Kai has basically outgrown his moses basket so I was looking to get a crib until he's 6months and can go in his own room, some work colleagues have told my partner if he's outgrown the moses basket he might aswell be in his own room and to just get one of those sensors to put under his cot, I feel like he's too little to be in his own room though 🤔 what has everyone else done?
