My parents want to take my son on their family trip to Florida in March and I don't think my anxiety can handle that. They watch him everyday and all my siblings are going so I know he'd be fine...but I just couldn't get there quick enough. Is that rude??

id ask them if they would mind him staying home this year and taking him next year. He will be older and youll have you're second so it will give you a break 😁

My parents take my son on all sorts of trips. They managed to keep us alive while raising us kids. Key words you said, “I know he’d be fine” so don’t stress and enjoy you time.

I understand cause he’s your first baby but you have another one on the way. Even before my second was born- whenever my parents offered to take my oldest I gladly accepted.

I dont think it would be rude. Personally I'm not comfortable with my kids going to a different state without me until they are old enough to know their full name, mine and my husbands names, our numbers, address ect. That way if an accident happens they'll be able to tell someone who and where they belong. My greatest fear is them being in a wreck and everyone else dying or in a coma and they be left alone with no way to tell law enforcement where they belong.

Not rude at all! My parent used to take my girls for a week at a time once a month and I'd be home alone bc hubby would be at work. Of course they were older. Then, I decided to take a week once a month and go visit my parents with all 3 kids after I had our son. It's hard enough dropping my son off at prek 3 days a week, I would be crushed if I let him go anywhere without me like that.
