My 3 year old keeps waking up crying and saying there is something in her closet, idk what to do. She also very creepily says theres babies on the ceiling and and her baby sister is on the ceiling

Maybe 3 nights now, wakes up crying for me or daddy. She just told me the babies are falling, it's honestly freaking me out. I think she might have an ear infection tho too, she said her ear hurt this morning

Night terrors. I hated them! My kids would wake up screaming and pointing at blank wall or saying there’s spiders on the ceiling!! Or rubbing his hands trying to get something off of it. It truly creeped me out. I think the best thing you can do is not to talk to them or asking questions but just hold them until they calmed down and fall back asleep. Most likely they won’t even remember anything in the morning. This often happens after we go to bed late.
I try no tv or games or bright lights 2 hrs before bed, it helps.

Thank you, atleast I know it's not abnormal now, all I did was try to reassure her that it wasnt real and comfort her. Shes is exhausted I think, shes had her cousins around for a few days which wears her out and these nightmares keep her up alot so she gets up with bags under her eyes. Do they ever go away?

That’s a night terror. They feel so unbelievably real. I used to get them and my son does too. There is NOTHING you can do. Don’t try and wake her up, that will startle her. What my dad used to do for me was put me in a warm bath it was soothing and I’d wake up calm and I didn’t remember a thing.
However to this day I remember ONE of my night terrors. I was in my room sleeping at night and I woke up and skeletons were in my room(like a lot) I got scared and tried to run out of my room and my mom was in he bathroom I could see her but the skeletons were pulling me back by the back of my pajamas and I couldn’t get out.
I slept with my mom a lot back then lol

@savvysmom, yeah they don’t last long. My son will “wake up” SCREAMING but he’s not actually awake. You can tell because his eyes are BLACK and he doesn’t let any one near him he backs away and screams more like we’re trying to hurt him or something so we just let him be until he comes to us
