How Much is Enough for My 3weeks Old?
|BREASTMILK/PUMPED/BOTTLE FED|
From the Time of Being Discharged from the Hospital and around week 1 1/2 She Started at 2oz and Gradually On To 3oz .. She Still Act Hungry So I Tried 3.5oz. and now She’s Currently Drinking 4oz 😳
Sometimes She Still Signals That Shes Hungry !
Is this normal ?? I don’t want to make here obese by letting her continue to eat/drink but I don’t want her to not get enough either

No, that’s too much! I’m surprised she hasn’t gotten sick.
She has been fine.. no problems that’s why I’m kind of questioning it
If you are breast feeding just baby to breast whenever they want as long as they want . With formula you can over feed and have to watch oz.
She isn’t on formula.. just breastmilk and she never latched so I have to pump and give it to her in the bottle
Yes I take it from her and let her break or burp her and etc. when taken away she just cries until I give it back
@jaidensmommy that's not quite pace feeding. I'll see if I can grab an image, but essentially you angle her upright and control the flow. Burp every half ounce. Should take 5 mins per .5 ounces to drink. (When they get bigger its every ounce) 4oz is usually the max babies take, but not u till much older as breastmilk changes so you don't increase after that.
Is getting enough hindmilk? That's the most calories and fat that makes a baby feel full. In breastfeeding it comes out at the end of a nursing session. With pumping you will need to empty your breasts enough to get this. Check the bottles for the fat deposit on the top. If you dont see any, baby may not be getting the hindmilk.
@jaidensmommy then she's getting the fat as long as you are sure to mix it in when the bottle has been warmed in water. Microwaving is a no go ever for breast milk as it will destroy that fat ❤
@mom211n11, yess I shake it and pour out the needed amount and put it in a cup of water to heat it up

Yeah that’s what I was told as well but I kinda thought maybe it was too much being that my nephew is 2mnths and he drinks 4oz
4oz is way too much for that tiny tummy! Does your baby have reflux? She could be drinking to soothe the pain from it.
She’s been doing fine.. no reflux.. she drinks 2oz -burps and drinks the other 2oz and she’s content
4 oz is way to much! Are you pace feeding? My breastfed son was eating max 2.5 oz that age..

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. Baby won't bear weight on leg
