So I started out the same way in fact I used to let them fall asleep on top of me and then my husband would come and move them to their beds 🤦🏻♀️ now to wean them off I sit in between them on the couch with lullaby music playing and they go to sleep with me holding a foot or a leg lol
I need advice on this too! Kai is so much worse. They have to be held to go to sleep and cpnstantly at night. Worst mistake ive made was starting them on that! But i was always worrued they would wake eachother and thats my worst nightmare lol
Mine usually don't woke the other if they cry at night. It happens once in a while. The other night my boy twin cried on and off for almost 3 hours and never woke his sister. And they are only a couple feet away from each other. That's why you need to get them used to noise while they sleep. I can walk in and out of bedroom pretty easily and they will stay asleep to. Are you also using white noise? When they wake at night don't make the room bright. Just use a night light or something similar. Also I know when they were babies I did not talk to them or give eye contact in the middle of the night so they would learn that it's sleepy time not play time
Have they ever slept through the night? My twins are younger but have been sleeping through the night since about 7 months. Do you use a white noise machine or fan for background noise? That helps a bunch. Are they used to sleeping with you or being held to sleep? I had my twins sleeping on their on pretty much from the beginning. I put them down tired and never rocked them
Hi! I don’t hold them to sleep because they have an older brother as well and I wanted to make sure everyone was getting equal treatment. I use a white noise machine and it has definitely improved but they still get up, I will admit I am quick to guide them to their bottle bc I am worried they will wake up each other/their brother
@jenny_deo83 they probably need that comfort of a bottle... my son used to do this when he was much younger. I knew he wasn't hungry so I'd give him a sippy cup with water instead of another bottle of milk in the middle of the night. He didnt like that very much so he eventually stopped getting up and started sleeping through the night.
