How do y’all get your toddlers to let you brush their teeth without a fight? Every day it’s a struggle to brush my son’s teeth because he fights me.
My daughter loves brushing her teeth. We brush at least 3 times a day. We brush our teeth which makes her want to brush her own teeth. I will have her sit on the sink and she will also “ spit “ and “ rinse “ her mouth. &’ At the end she will grab a towel and dry her mouth.
We use the tom’s toddler training toothpaste.
We go back and forth taking turns. She loves her toothpaste so she gets more once it’s her turn again.
I’m gonna have to try all of these. He watches us brush our teeth but still doesn’t want to brush his own. He just wants to play with the toothbrush.
@xxshayroni, thanks! He didn’t care for the Blippi video but I found one with a little blue alien looking thing and he’s watched it 3 times already.
Me and my husband brush our teeth with our daughter. So she will do it by herself and then she will let us do it. Having their favorite character on the toothbrush helps too
We tried multiple kid toothpaste before even trying our adult one and he hated every single one
We’ve been using adult tooth paste, just a tiny dot on his tooth brush and he lets us do it now! He even will stick his head under the faucet to rinse out his mouth and spit
We used the non-fluoride kind until she could properly spit out the toothpaste. That was at 3 1/2. She never fought us because she could swallow the paste and we would tell her we brush first then she can and then taste some herself. This worked for us!
