any moms with a 2yo and 1 month old with advice? or just moms with 2 kids
@mommyfrom305 I feel that way all the time too, you're not alone!
I pick my moments. Not every minute of the day will be amazing for them and that's totally normal.
My favorite moments are story time before bed (which can really help with vocabulary and speech) and bath time where we can be a bit silly.
Tantrums are hard too. The screaming really gets to me (she's very determined to be as loud as possible) but sticking her in her bedroom gives me enough time to try and diffuse the situation.
I've had one super meltdown at McDonalds once and it was super embarrassing but I think most of the people just felt bad for me 😞
luckily my friend was there so I could leave my son with her while I hauled my screaming child to the vehicle to strap her in safely then grab my son. Not the best day, but I got through it! you're always welcome to shoot me a message too it's nice having support 😊
@leigha.mazur, thanks girl. im gonna have to start reading more to my little one. she sometimes doesnt sit through a reading so i need good books.
@mommyfrom305 it's so hard to get them to sit 😩 so far she's really into search and find books and I've gotten some interest with curious George
Just pick your battles and do YOUR best. If you have a rough day just remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day and you can try again. 😊
I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. I find the hardest times is going out on my own and helping my daughter when I'm nursing.
I don't have a schedule or anything but I do try to keep track of my timing during the day.
Ex I'll do everything for my daughter that she needs when I notice it's getting close to my son's feeding time (like get her a snack, drink, or taking her potty)
When it comes to going out I try and plan my trip as best as possible making sure I have at least one stop that has a bathroom/somewhere to sit and take a break.
My best advice is to take it slow and keep your daily expectations low. You may not get everything you want done so don't get too discouraged.
