My last pregnancy I had a 3 degree tear. And baby was only 7.5 and this current baby is measuring to be 8+ . I talked to the nurse today because my doc was out and said it was a valid concern. Chances for hemorrhage is there if I tear like that again. I just don't know if they will make me C-section or enduce early. I will do whatever is safest but surgery does scare me.
Has anyone gone through this ?

I had a second degree tear with both kids. My son was 7lbs 11oz and my daughter was 8 lbs 5oz. I had her unexpected at home. If I was in the hospital it may not have happened.
If I had 2nd I don't know if I would be as concerned but the thought of 3rd or 4th scares me :/ chances of hemorrhage is higher. Luckily I didn't hemorrhage with my first but nervous I would if the tear is worse this time.
I hadn't got a big tear with my 1st but I still had to get some stitches.
My 2nd was more than a lb heavier (7.15 vs 9.4 lbs) and I didn't tear at all.
My friend had a 4th degree tear with her 1st because he had to come out fast and didn't tear at all with her 2nd.
Another friend has problems with her skin elasticity. She had a 3rd degree tear with her 1st and while she still tore with her 2nd it was way better.
So it depends on what was the reason for the tearing but still in my experiences around me it's better the 2nd time around.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

at the grocery store when an elderly lady approached me she asked my if I was pregneat I replied happily yes & she shook her head .... she started telling me I was going to be a horrible mom & my baby was going to die because I had tattoos .....

Finally, after nearly FORTY-TWO weeks... I decided to get induced. Baby Violet scared me with some decreased fetal movement and I couldn't wait any longer.
Can't you ask them to give you an episiotomy? My 1st 2 births I got one and it was great. This last one I didn't and had 2 tiny tears but the pushing was soooooo much harder!!!!
