Okay mommies...croup, what do we know about how to help baby feel better? It’s a self diagnosis from previous experience with my son, I also talked to an on call nurse since today is Christmas, hoping to get her into the doctor tomorrow...but my poor girl is not feeling well.

When my son had it, dr said take him outside for the cold air. Steam the bathroom. But he also gave us a machine to do breathing treatments

I have been told that fresh, cold air can help. I haven’t had to do it and I probably wouldn’t until she is seen, but as @mrsmord, said steam helps a ton!

you’ll likely need a steroid for it. we did for my daughter last year. we got the 1 dose version and she did a complete 360 (she wasn’t 100% herself, but went from 75% to 90%) within 24 hours.

Most important thing to help the cough ? Turn on the hot water and let her sit in a room with a good amount of steam or if you have a vaporizer that helps it too. Both my boys had it , it was terrible

@mrsmord, Did the shower thing, have a humidifier running...hopefully the will help her sleep peacefully for a while. Thanks!

@roth1321, i took my boys to the hospital and they received steroids medicine and a lot of steam i actually bought a steam machine that you put medicine into the one that covers the kids mouth ... it helps have to do it constantly and if you have that vaporizer machine you can have it on for a while in their room. Helps
