As long as everything goes good tonight and little guy passes his car seat test tomorrow then we should be able to go home tomorrow.
I’m excited to take him home but also super scared bc from day one I have had the Hospital machines telling me his heart rate and oxygen levels. I won’t have that at home.

Aww, that's awesome news hun!!! I couldn't be happier for you.

Idk if this is more comforting or terrifying, but when my babies were in nicu, the neonatologist told me that even full term newborns have apnea and Brady episodes, but we just don’t notice, because they aren’t monitored like nicu babes.
You got this though! It’ll feel so good to have bub home with you!

I’m thinking of getting something to monitor his breathing at home. Dunno if should or not
Victoria ··
I didn’t, but I’ve heard great things about owlet monitors.

It’s so nerve wrecking at first but it does get better. My daughters first night home I stayed up all night staring at her. Idk if you’ve heard about the owlet but it’s definitely a good investment! It’s not the machines but does help

I have heard about it. That’s the one I was thinking of getting. Trying to talk to people I know and seeing if it works good and is accurate

It gave me a little peace of mind. I completely understand how you feel though. My daughter was in the nicu for 46 days

Oh awesome you had one! Can I ask you a few questions about it.... is it for only when they’re sleeping? Like if you feed them and they are moving does it give false readings? I’m asking bc my son seems to drop his oxygen levels while he’s feeding
