This is horrible, BUT I will say that babies can poop in the womb without castor oil being used. This post said she was 41 weeks, so it could have happened before the castor oil was taken. NOT that I am supporting castor oil, because I’m not and I would never take it.
Do they know for sure it was the castor oil? I had heard this story before when I was pregnant, and I went overdue. One of the things on the list to induce labour from my midwives was castor oil. I was shocked and of course I did not take it. Ended up going into labour on my own at 41+3
There have been a lot of women who have had this happen after using castor oil. I know some midwives suggest it in a smoothie, but i couldnt risk my childs safety like that
They are educated. Most only suggest it as a last resort to avoid "chemical induction" cause castor oil is natural. But they are also supposed to let people know about the risks when suggesting it..

The sad thing is, some people will ignore this and still do it because someone they know did it and their baby "came out ok." Smh
