This is sooooo true! We cant afford the expensive stuff and my sisters kids always get alot of nice big expensive stuff from santa. My sons to young to understand yet because lucky hes not into the real expensive stuff yet.
Santa does not get credit for all the fun things my boys get or the work I did all year finding good deals on the Christmas gifts they get. Santa brings the stockings that have bath stuff and little fun stocking stuffers.
We tell our kids that we have to pay Santa for the stuff he brings because most of the stuff they ask for, he has to buy at the store. We had to come up with something when their Christmas lists got more and more expensive.
We teach our kids to be humble all year long. They would never brag about what they received, nor differentiate what Santa gave over mom and dad. Unfortunately life isn't fair though. I grew up that poor kid who got mostly needs and maybe a want here and there. You learn fast to appreciate what you have and that some have more than you. It's real life, not the everybody gets a trophy life.

I like the idea of having my kids know me or their dad worked hard for the big expensive gifts. Idk why some people don’t. 🤷🏻♀️

I think its more about the excitement of Christmas... But I agree! Mommy and Daddy worked hard to get you what you wanted, here you go!

I know a lot of people disagree with what she’s saying, but I’ve seen in firsthand with kids at school. It’s really sad.
